2026 Kawasaki Versys 650 details
Shares its 649cc, twin-cylinder engine with multiple other Kawasaki bikes
Like the 2026 Ninja 650, the updated Versys 650 remains pretty much the same as it was before with the exception of a new grey/black colour with green highlights. Powering the Versys 650 is Kawasaki’s tried-and-tested liquid-cooled, 649cc, twin-cylinder engine making 67hp and 61Nm of torque. It has a 4.3-inch colour TFT display and a 4-way adjustable windscreen, among other features. The Versys’ main USP as a road biased tourer is its tall stance and adjustable suspension units which have 150mm/145mm (F/R) of wheel travel.
Like all new big bike launches, the Versys 650 is fully E20 compatible. With its big 21 litre fuel tank brimmed, the bike weighs 220kg. Seat height is set at a fairly tall 845mm and the Versys 650 has a healthy 170mm of ground clearance available which should help it tackle most Indian road surfaces.
The Kawasaki Versys 650 - at Rs 8.63 lakh - sits in a niche of its own in the Indian market. Its closest competition comes from the Honda NX500 (Rs 6.33 lakh) and the Moto Morini X-Cape 650 (Rs 6.40 lakh).
