Maruti Suzuki has announced a recall of the Grand Vitara regarding a potential issue with the speedometer’s fuel level indicator and warning light. This marks the fourth (and biggest) recall for the Grand Vitara since the midsize SUV launched in 2022.
- Recall affects 39,506 units produced between December 9, 2024 and April 29, 2025
- Fuel levels may not be accurately indicated in the faulty units

Per an official document from Maruti Suzuki, a total of 39,506 units of the Grand Vitara – manufactured between December 9, 2024 and April 29, 2025 – are impacted by this recall. "It is suspected that the fuel level indicator and warning light in the speedometer assembly in some of these vehicles may not accurately reflect the fuel status as intended," reads the document.
Maruti Suzuki will reach out to affected Grand Vitara owners and carry out inspections and replacements of the faulty component for free.
