
Ather recently expanded its Rizta family scooter lineup with a new S 3.7 variant, which now brings the total number of variants up to four. Here, we have explained the differences between the four in terms of battery, range, charging time, features and price.
Ather Rizta: battery and range with charging times
Two battery capacities offered - 2.9kWh and 3.7kWh
The Ather Rizta is available with two battery capacities - 2.9kWh and 3.7kWh - which are rated for claimed IDC range figures of 123km and 159km, respectively. There are two trim levels offered on the Rizta - S and Z - and you can mix and match the battery pack with the features you want.
The Rizta’s variants come with different chargers depending on the battery capacity. The 2.9kWh variants come with a slower charger that takes 6hr30min for a 0-80 percent charge and 8hr30min for a 0-100 percent charge. The 3.7kWh variants use a faster charger which takes 4hr30min for a 0-80 percent charge and 5hr45min for a 0-100 percent charge.

Ather Rizta: features, colours and Pro Pack
S variants get a LCD display, Z variants use colour TFT dash
The two trim levels on offer on the Rizta are S and Z. The lower S variants come with a LCD display and miss out on traction control, Ather’s Magic Twist regenerative braking system, dual-tone seat and backrest. The Z variants come with a colour TFT display and all of the aforementioned features.
The Z models come with a colour TFT display that has features such as document storage, full Google Maps display, WhatsApp preview on the screen and much more over the LCD dash on the S variants.
The Rizta’s S variants only come in three single-tone colours - grey, blue and white - while the Z variants can be had in these three as well as four other dual-tone shades - white/yellow, white/green, white/blue and white/grey.
Ather bundles in the smart connectivity features, SmartEco mode and the battery’s extended warranty with the Pro Pack - which is to be purchased over and above the vehicle's price - and you can refer to our table below for the exact pricing for each variant.

Ather Rizta: price
Rizta pricing starts at Rs 1.15 lakh
It does bear mentioning that no matter which variant of the scooter you choose, the chassis and mechanical parts like brakes, tyres and suspension remain the same. The Ather Rizta lineup starts at Rs 1.15 lakh for the base S 2.9 variant and then you have the Z 2.9 priced at Rs 1.30 lakh. The newly-launched S 3.7 is priced at Rs 1.38 lakh and the top Z 3.7 costs Rs 1.50 lakh.
